April 22, 2022
Over the last two weeks we wrote to you about the recent UN’s climate report and the California legislature’s recently released report on climate change impacts across our state. Both warn that we have no time left, but we do have the solutions to address the climate crisis. However, these solutions are not being implemented because the fossil fuel industry is undermining our government’s ability to serve the real and pressing needs of the people.
Today, we highly recommend that you watch PBS’s Frontline show, “The Power of Big Oil.” This in-depth, three-part series examines the fossil fuel industry’s history of casting doubt and delaying action on climate change. It traces decades of missed opportunities and the ongoing attempts to hold Big Oil to account.
Parts two and three of “The Power of Big Oil” will air on KQED on April 26, and May 3, 2022. If you live in the SF Bay Area, you can watch part one here.
It is more clear than ever—we must use our health voices to counter the fossil fuel industry’s undue influence. However, we cannot do this alone—we need your help.
