DECEMBER 30, 2025

Dear Friends,

As we come to the end of 2025, the themes for this year are clear: threats to public health, climate action, and our democracy.

This year, the administration accelerated attacks on science, environmental protections, and the health agencies we all rely on—moves that put communities, especially children and frontline neighborhoods, directly at risk.

And yet—here’s the part that keeps us going—health professionals showed up. Drawing on nearly 50 years of dedicated organizing and advocacy, SF Bay PSR mobilized health professionals, defended evidence-based policy, advanced environmental justice projects, and kept the focus where it belongs: protecting people’s health today while safeguarding future generations. When the administration moved to roll things back, we pushed forward.

Now, as we head into 2026, we’re asking you to join us—in whatever way works for you:

  • Become a monthly donor through our monthly giving link—just $10/month makes a real difference. (The cost of an online TV streaming service.) Please donate here.
  • Make a year-end donation using our year-end giving link to help us reach our $25,000 goal—we’re about $15,000 away. Please make a gift here. Any amount helps!
  • Volunteer your skills or time—especially by:
      – Staffing SF Bay PSR tables at health and medical conferences
      – Attending marches and non-violent demonstrations as trusted health voices
      – Being prepped for and attending government policy hearings to speak up for public and climate health, and for eliminating nuclear weapons
  • Join a committee and help shape what’s next—our Environmental Health Committee and Nuclear Weapons Abolition Committee meet every other month and welcome new members ready to listen and learn or engage.

If you’re interested in volunteering or joining a committee, please contact us at director@sfbaypsr.org.

Working together is how we turn anxiety into action—and action into impact. Community is our renewable energy source, and it’s remarkably efficient.

If 2026 feels daunting, you’re not alone—join us—courage grows faster when it’s shared.
Thank you for being part of this work and this movement.

PLEASE GIVE HERE. Any amount is appreciated!

We wish you courage and strength in the new year,

Bob Gould, MD, President
