GALA: Gathering for Action, Leadership, and Advocacy
Democracy Under Threat—Health, Climate, and Global Security at Risk
Wednesday, Sept 10, 2025, 6:30-8:00pm, PT, online
BUY or RESERVE TICKETS HERE!
At a time when public health, science, and democracy are under attack, this event will explore how health professionals and advocates can help to safeguard truth, equity, and justice. Our renown speakers will give both inspiring and action-focused talks: Tracey Woodruff, PhD, a national leader in environmental health research and policy at UCSF, who has been a tireless voice on the health harms of pollution and toxic exposures; Norman Solomon, renowned journalist, author, and media critic, who will speak about the warfare state and threats to democracy. And the Awards will spotlight the next generation of health activists stepping forward to take on these challenges with creativity and urgency.
The Gala is an online event. General tickets are $120, or you can select a FREE ticket and donate what works for you. Students, trainees, and community members are all FREE. Buy or Reserve Your Tickets here or below!
SF Bay PSR members are dedicated to mentoring and supporting students and young health professionals who want to incorporate health activism into their careers, and youth-led, climate-health organizations. Through our Dr. Tom Hall Student and Young Health Professional Fund and donors like you, we offer an internship program, awards, climate-health curriculum development, and support for climate-health youth projects, including this year, the Silicon Valley Climate Youth Summit and San Francisco's BAYSPARK Youth Action for Climate and Justice.
We hope you will join us on Sept 10 to celebrate and support these rising leaders!
Congratulations to our 2025 Awardees!
