Supported: letter from California Certified Organic Farmers calling for an Organic Transition Option to be added to California’s Healthy Soils Program. Organic farming is better for human health and the environment because organic farmers are prohibited from using virtually all 900 synthetic pesticides. The Organic Transition Option would give farmers and ranchers a stipend to support the required 3-year transition off of synthetic pesticides.
