With the backdrop of ICE and DHS terrorizing our communities, the Senate is preparing to vote today on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) appropriations bill. If passed, this bill would continue to fund Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, which has resulted in the deaths of immigrants and U.S. citizens alike.

Suggested Call Script:

“Hello, my name is ____________. I am a [name your health profession] and a constituent of the senator’s. I urgently call on the Senator to vote NO on the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill being voted on in the Senate this week, either alone or in combination with other bills.

With ICE and Customs and Border Protection agents terrorizing communities and killing citizens on our streets in broad daylight, we need ICE and CBP agents to be withdrawn from our communities, and a full, independent investigation into all ICE and CBP-related deaths. The Senator must demand strong measures to stop warrantless arrests, hold federal officers accountable, stop family and child detention, and require other strong protections in any DHS funding bill. I strongly urge the Senator to vote NO on the DHS funding bill today.

Physicians Stand Up Against ICE in Minnesota

SF Bay PSR stands in solidarity with the victims of ICE’s inhuman and unconstitutional actions across the country and murders in Minneapolis, and with the physicians in Minnesota who recently hosted a press conference against ICE. As with so many of the administration’s actions, once again they claim that ICE is protecting our citizens, but that is yet another misdirection intended to disguise the harm that ICE is inflicting.
