GUN VIOLENCE IN AMERICA HAS REACHED EPIDEMIC PROPORTIONS

PSR believes that there is a national epidemic of gun violence that demands our attention. We must act now to arrest easy access to firearms and reduce the tragedy of domestic violence. We are addressing this public health challenge by educating health professionals and decision-makers on violence prevention, advocating for strict gun controls and supporting grassroots efforts to make our schools and communities safer. PSR is part of the First Monday 2000 coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to peace within our borders. Our student chapters have been involved in outreach and education campaigns including conferences on public health and violence.
